Photographer

Born in Samara refugee camp. I grew up in this camp. Here I studied at my primary school and then I went to finish my study in Algeria. I now work as a communication manager at the Youth organization in Samara. I started working as a photographer in 2008. I have always wanted to be a photographer. It was unbelievable when my sister one day bought me a gift. It was a camera. I love photography and I kept practicing. I joined many photography courses to master my skills. I’m passionate about photography and I use it to document everyday life in the camps. I also use it to tell our stories.
During my participation in Sand and Vision photography Course by Olive Branch Arts Org, I enjoyed learning and sharing manty photography tips and skills with the other photographers. I have exhibited my photography in Smara camp. In the UK, Greece and other places. I am happy my photography can travel to other places to tell our story. At this moment that I captured in this photograph. It was summertime. It was too hot for my nephew to play outside. He was looking at some goats and other things outside but he could not play with them. It was a quiet moment of a child trapped inside our home unable to play outside because of the heat.
