Salem Mohamed Mouloud (Short Bio)

Visual Artist

My name is Salem Mohamed Molud. I live in Mahbas neighborhood, Samara Camp. I am 15 years old. I am a student in an intermediate school in Samara called Abda Mohamed. I started to draw when I was in the 4th grade. I started by imitating and copying other drawings I liked. I learned by copying and repeating. Nowadays I like to draw things I see from my surroundings. My school is about 20 minutes’ walk from home. I leave home 8:40 and arrive exactly 9:00. I like the subjects they give us, the science but also the subject of art and drawing. My artwork shows different colors. I painted my color pencils. These are my tools. I take them with me to the school. Education is very important. And I use my pencils when I go to school. At school, I like scientific subjects, like Math, Science and Physics. I also like languages. We also learn a bit about shapes and lines like in architecture. I like the shapes of pencils when they align and intersect and.
I don’t know how my future look like, but I hope my education can help me have a better future. So far I like scientific subjects, but I also love to draw. I would like to continue to draw whenever I find the opportunity. My parents support me to draw and I like that. But my friends in school they don’t know about my art. So this artwork will be a surprise to my friends.
