Menaha Mahmud (Short Bio)
Storyteller / Grandmother
Menaha Mahmoud was a grandmother, a storyteller and a narrator of the Sahrawi history in the community. She lived most of her life as a nomad in Western Sahara. She was living in Samara Camp together with her family of daughters and sons. She was a great host and a source of wisdom. Menaha starred in our film DESERT PHOSfare, she shared with us valuable knowledge, insights and wisdom from her past nomadic life in Western Sahara. Menaha passed away last year. Her death was a great loss to the Saharawi community.
