Mbarka Aggyn (Short bio)
Drum Artist
Mbarka Aggyn is a Sahrawi drum artist and a music teacher. She teaches music and drum beats and other traditional instruments in the local school of Boujdour Camp as part of Desert Voicebox – organized by London based Sandblast Organization. She perform locally but also in collaboration with different music bands in different occasions. We collaborated with Mbraka to create the drum pieces in one of DESERT PHOSfate film chapters. Based on the varying rhythms observed by the artist in the desert, she was able to create new drum beats for the chapter Desert Beats.
